Avid Singaporean online shoppers, here’s some good news for you: Google has just teamed up with DBS and SingPost to launch a 3-day shopping extravaganza this month, from today to 4th of February, 2359 hours.
The “Great Online Shopping Festival” (GOSF) will include participating merchants such as Zalora, Courts, Luxola, Agoda and other brands, which will be revealed nearer to the date. The event is also supported by SPRING Singapore.
“Not only is Singapore one of the most connected cities in the world, its connected citizens are also amongst the most savvy! Research shows that nearly 70 percent of Singaporeans research products online before purchase. We’re excited to be collaborating with DBS and SingPost — Singapore icons themselves — to celebrate the nation’s burgeoning e-commerce industry by creating a platform where Singapore’s retailers showcase their products, services and best deals,” said Joanna Flint, Country Director, Singapore, Google Asia Pacific. “Online shopping has become increasingly popular over the last few years.”
“With e-commerce in Singapore expecting to hit SGD4.4 billion this year, facilitating a secure and seamless online shopping experience continues to be a key focus for DBS. As we celebrate Singapore’s 50 years of independence and progress, we are also delighted to collaborate with Google to bring this exclusive online shopping event to Singapore,” said Lim Bee Bee, Head of Marketing for Consumer Banking Group (Singapore), DBS Bank.
Happy shopping!
