A woman from Western Australia has pleaded not guilty to supplying expectant mothers with fake ultrasound photos.

Rawinia Hayes, who ran the business Amazing 4D Imaging, faced court Monday over claims she distributed photographs she found online instead of actual imagery she had taken.

Hundreds of women posted photos on Facebook, where many claim they discovered their intimate photos were duplicates of photographs other mothers had received.

Mother-of-one Catherine Osment told the Bunburry Mail that she had gone to a private appointment at a home business in January. When she received her eight photographs from Amazing 4D Imaging, she said it was obvious they were fake.

“I knew as soon as I opened them they were fake and it made me feel sick,” Osment said. She then claimed she discovered the photos by searching on Google. She told the newspaper her partner was about to get the photograph tattooed on his chest.

More than 75 complaints were received by the Department of Commerce, according to the ABC, with Hayes being charged with nine counts of accepting payment but failing to deliver goods, and of making false or misleading representations. She will face trial in April.
