Ever since I was a young girl, I have always imagined my love life. It always came along with the shadows of the little princesses; Snow white, Little Mermaid; Cinderella, Jasmine, Bella and Mulan roles.
My favorite princess would be Ariel, the Little Mermaid.
Why? For the sake of the man she loves, she is willing to risk everything. She doesn’t wait for a prince charming to come and save her, she wants to take control of her own life. She doesn’t really care what would happen next, because she doesn’t wanna live with regrets.
This is how I imagine my life with a true love would be like. I would fight for my love, and not want to regret later in my life. I would wait for him to notice me. I would patiently wait for him to call me his.
I would imagine waking up to the love of my life every single morning, we would brush our teeth and have breakfast together every morning, he would drop me at my office everyday and when we are both working, we would drop each other texts whenever we have got the free time.
He would pick me up from work no matter how tired he is from work, and I would ask him “How’s your day?” everyday without fail. We would have dinner every evening together, we could dine outside or I will do the cooking and he will wash the dishes. We might spend some time together watching television programmes, and then go to bed and prepare for the next day. I would kiss him goodnight every night and tell him that I love him and he would do the same too.
We will go down to the mall during weekends to do some grocery shopping. Or just buy some clothes to pamper ourselves. Going to the park just to chill, talking till the wee hours before walking home hand in hand.
Maybe in a couple of years later, we might have a little baby girl or boy, which makes a complete family. He will teach our son how to play remote planes, and build up a mini model house with Legos. I will teach our daughter how to tie her own hair, and teach her how to fix dishes.
We will take turns to tell them bedtime stories every night without fail. We will love them, and not spoil ‘em.
We will travel the world with our kids and explore the Earth. We will go on road trips and explore it all on our own.
That is how life with a true love would be like.
