My Favourite Phone Apps to Use at Leisure

As I have mentioned previously in another post, I don’t have much free time for myself nowadays. As such, my phone is my best friend as I can get some light entertainment on the go and also use it in bed before I sleep hehe. Here are my favourite apps to use apart from watching drama! :P

Instagram

I use this to stay updated with my friends, as well as to look at nice pictures or to stay updated with the ever-changing social media world. I like following people who take nice flat-lays, OOTDs or even bloggers who take nice photos for advertorials, eg Yutakis. Good inspiration for my own Instagram and I feel happy looking at nice stuff!

Tsum tsum

This is one of the cutest game ever! It is pretty simple to play, it is the typical kind of game that requires you to match at least 3 of the same things together to remove it from the screen. However, the “things” are actually tsums in this game, which are cute Disney characters – yes, mickey mouse, Donald duck, pluto, winnie the pooh, etc. You can earn coins to “buy” more tsums as you play! Every tsum has different power which will allow you to score more and earn more coins in return hehe. This is pretty addictive especially if you are playing with friends as you will be able to see the high score of your friends. The top 3 scores will get extra prizes weekly!

Facebook

Well, this is a must, I guess. To be honest, I feel that Facebook is far from personal now, so I don’t post personal status updates anymore. The most personal thing that I do on Facebook will be to upload photos and to tag friends as it is a good way to share photos. Other than that, I actually use Facebook to see what my Facebook friends share. There will always be controversial news, cute photos of animals, heart-warming articles and even random jokes to keep me entertained.

Sgag / 9gag

I personally prefer Sgag to 9gag, as Sgag has jokes in Singapore’s context. Some posts are pretty funny, while some can be really lame, good for people who can take things light-heartedly. I can’t seem to understand 9gag at times, I call it the “ang-moh humour”, but I will sometimes look at 9gag when sgag runs out of new updates.

Carousell / shopee

What we girls do - shop and buy! Personally, I use these apps for selling more than for shopping, due to the huge stash of clothes and make up that I have at home. Another reason is that I don’t like to buy second-hand stuffs (and I won’t even know if items or brand new or not when I buy from such apps). Once in a while, I get tempted to buy from these apps too, especially when I spot discount codes on Shopee haha. I personally find that Shopee has better prices at the moment and there are blogshops on Shopee which I can buy brand new items from. Maybe Carousell will become more competitive in terms of pricing and discounts in time to come, then more savings for us all! :D
