This is the fats that I’m talking about.
The infamous tummy aka the hardest part to tone because I just love to eat more than I love to do sit ups, okay?!
So how exactly did I do it?

Of course, Dr Terence Tan came to the rescue!
He told me about this treatment by Zeltiq called “CoolSculpting” and I’ve never heard something so interesting in my life.
To freeze your fats seems like the last thing you hear, since working out usually means to “burn” them right?
Apparently, burning fats only makes the fat cells smaller, but fat freezing completely damages fat cells and gets rid of it!
How “cool” is that?!

HERE’S THE LOWDOWN.
Here’s a picture of how the process happens.
- This non-invasive cryolipolysis cooling treatment offers a controlled and localised way of targeting only the fat cells in your body, freezing them to death without damage to surrounding nerves, body parts, or skin surface.
- The body then removes these dead fat cells from your body.
- The natural removal of fat cells over time results in fat loss.
Now, the results for CoolSculpting is the most obvious after 1-3 months.
It’s been a week and a half since my treatment and I am very surprised to see results already!
I went through 1 hour of the treatment per area. I only did two parts so that’s two hours in total.
If you have issues like a muffin top or stubborn fats in your tummy that just won’t go away, I highly suggest going for CoolSculpting!
Now, why go for fat freezing?
1. It is non-invasive, so it’s painless.
2. You won’t feel cold or freeze; only your fats will.
3. You can get a relaxing treatment facial done, read a book, or check your Facebook at the same time. Talk about multi-tasking!
4. There’s no downtime. Go out and do what you need to do after treatment.
5. It pairs perfectly with your exercise and health regime as it does away with areas of stubborn fat.
6. It not only shapes your body, it tightens you skin too.
Of course, regularly exercising and a healthy diet will make the result even more effective.
You can’t possibly not be exercising and eating junk food and still expect results.
I especially like what Dr Tan said;
“For spot treatment of those body fats, there are two methods that work: fat freezing, which is non-intrusive, or liposuction, which is an intrusive surgery. Always speak to a doctor on what is best for you and your body. But ultimately, people must remember that weight loss management by a doctor and cryolipolysis need to go hand-in-hand for effective, optimal weight loss, body contouring, and health management,” cautions Dr Tan.
So yes, before going for any treatment, ALWAYS consult with a certified doctor first and make sure that there is sufficient research and knowledge on both sides.
Of course, I can’t recommend Dr Tan enough, he definitely falls under the category of a certified and awesomely qualified doctor.
Plus points because he’s very fun to talk to!
