Hey everyone!
It’s been a good month after my last treatment with Halley Medical Aesthetics(I got fillers under my eyes!) and I went for a follow up about 2 weeks after that.
Dr. Terence Tan took some photos to put them side by side for comparison. The fillers have settled down nicely and the collagen generated has been doing some huge favors to my skin too.
I don’t put blusher on my face but I’ve been noticing how radiant and rosy my cheeks have been after the treatment. It’s one of those effects that I was actually not expecting but hey, rosy cheeks are not bad at all.
Happy patient means Happy doctor! haha!
Here is one of the side profile photos (yes I chose the left side because it’s my better side, please give me a chance haha)
The sunken part used to be so obvious especially from this angle but I’m so happy just looking at this picture because there’s no sunken parts anywhere and my chin looks good too (didn’t do anything to it okay, it’s au naturale)
So during this follow up with Dr Tan, he noticed that I was having mild breakouts and I think he was being too kind because there was nothing mild about it.
I know you can’t see it from the photos but I had huge acne/s on my chin, forehead and cheeks (lighting was good in the clinic, that’s why you can’t see them that clearly)
Luckily Halley Medical Aesthetics also sells skincare products, namely Brilliance!
So after a consultation for my skin, Dr Tan decided that I should take the products below!
During my filler review session with Dr Terence, I also received a set of acne products from Halley:
– Brilliance Acne Buster Wash $36
– Brilliance Pore Clarifying Exfoliant $33
– Brilliance Pore Clarifying Mask $33.60
– Brilliance Diamond Serum $78.60
I also took some pills for the acne to calm down and a cream for my acne.
– Benzac AC Gel $28.20
– Doxycycline $30
I feel like it was so apt to actually make use of these products because I actually made a video with Halley introducing some of these products!
{youtube}rtc6c_F0lws{/youtube}
Sorry if I was a little awkward in that video, truth be told, it’s easier for me to be in front of the camera when I’m all alone in my room and just talking to myself. Haha!

So yes, after two weeks of healing and saying bye bye to all my acne, my face finally cleared up. Dr Tan suggested that I go back to the clinic after my face heals so I can go for further acne treatments so it can be controlled once and for all!
He suggested that I do Aqua Facial for Acne is ($220 w/GST) and the PDT light treatment($80 w/GST)
Not the best angle but what to do, I’m not one of those people who actually looks good from this angle.
It may seem like I’m thinking a lot here but really, I am ready to zone out because facial usually means nap time for me. It’s just so relaxing and pain free!
The first treatment is the Aqua PT Therapy Facial for Acne.
This treatment is ideal for all skin types like;
1. Oily Skin
2. Acne prone skin
3. Fine wrinkles
4. Sun damaged skin
5. Congested skin
6. Dehydrated skin
7. Pigmented skin
I think I have like 5 out of 7 of those problems so you can say that this facial definitely fits me. The clinic also has an Aqua Facial for Anti-Aging too.
The therapist here is using a special tip that does multiple things that are great for my skin. It cleanses and ensures that serums are directly infused into the skin. It also exfoliates the skin at the same time.
The serums include really good stuff like salicylic acid, which deep cleanses the skin with AHA ingredients to aid exfoliation and extraction—steps that are so important for acne-prone skin. An anti-oxidant serum is also infused into my skin to promote healing, rejuvenate and purify, and moisturise.
This part of the treatment uses Micro Puncture Technology, which uses electric pulses during treatment. Don’t panic! The technology is really amazing. I didn’t really feel anything during the treatment; it just feel a little tingly after awhile! What you see here are cables attached to the corners of my mask. I had to hold on to a metal rod during treatment to ensure the current passes in a complete motion. This current creates micro-punctures on the skin to enable better absorption of serums.
I still fell asleep so you could say that it was totally pain free.
After the facial (while I was still asleep), the photodynamic therapy (PDT) light treatment was done on my face.
This treatment is totally awesome because
1. It’s painless
2. Non-invasive
3. Risk-free (it’s as easy as sun tanning on the beach, probably safer because you won’t burn!)
4. Safe and effective for all skin types!
Behold, the blue and red light.
The blue light is mainly for my Acne issue and the Red light is mainly for my skin rejuvenation.
The therapist used the blue light on me for 5 minutes followed by the red light for 25 minutes.
It will depend on each case and also the number of sessions.
As for me, since my acne wasn’t a regular thing (thank goodness), one session was enough to battle them out.

RIGHT AFTER THE TREATMENT:
The first thing I noticed was that my face was glowing!
And I know I don’t look my best without make up but after such a good facial and treatment, I couldn’t help but just feel my face and take selfies!
I still have a few acne scars that are still dark but slowly but surely they are disappearing.
My face has really gone through such a huge change after visiting Halley Medical Aesthetics.
From inside out, Dr Terence really took care of my skin and even stubborn fats and within a few months, I’ve noticed how my skin has been from dull to radiant.
Definitely visit Dr Terence Tan’s clinic at Halley Medical Aesthetics.
Your skin will go through the freshest change and it won’t even take long!
Plus, the treatments are long lasting and there are products to prolong the effects and to make sure that your skin is as healthy and glowing as ever!
