I saw Hey Claire's video on this and I thought how unique her favorite feelings are, so I decided to come up with my own favorite feelings in the world.
1. Seeing an old couple still holding hands - makes you feel like forever love is possible, y'know? (It is possible!)
2. Saturday Mornings at home - having all of my family members at home and enjoying roti prata for breakfast. What else is there to need?
3. Public Holidays in the middle of the week - it's like a surprise weekend and it feels absolutely awesome.
4. Having a job that you love - age is definitely catching up but the thought that you can provide for yourself and for your family is rather peaceful.
5. Eating porridge on sick days - it tastes like magical nectar specifically made by the Gods of Olympus for sick people.
6. "Good morning" texts - Sometimes I feel like I have morning depression but a simple morning message makes so much difference.
7. This guy.
8. Rewatching my ultimate fave movies on my off/sick days (bonus if it's raining) - I can probably recite the whole Lord of the Rings script to anyone who would listen.
9. Going to church with my family - a family that goes to church together, stays together <3
10. Counting down the days to a holiday - mine is approximately 7 more days to Hongkong/Shenzhen!!
Screams! I'll be leaving on Wednesday and I am super duper excited!
So I made this list because I know how easy it is to focus on the negative things. We are surrounded with so much hate, criticism, racism, violence, vengeance and just so many unnecessary trouble that could easily bring anyone's morale down.
It's the last lap of the year and what we can try to do is to come up with things that makes us genuinely happy.
Let's focus on the blessings and all the things we have rather than have a senseless argument with someone over the internet about who's right or holier.
If you have a blog or twitter or instagram, come up with 10 things that you're grateful for this year or just 10 things that makes you feel good inside (:
Thanks for reading!
Love, Trish <3
