My Plans for 2016

Even though most of my Facebook feed is about my friends getting married or having their first child (or even their second child, yes I'm at that age), I still think my life had been blessed greatly last year.

I've learned so many things last year.

I think for the first time ever, I'm matured 100 times more than the year before.

I made major changes in my life and even though things didn't go as smoothly as one could have hoped, 2015 had been one heck of a blessing still.

For once, most of my 2015 New Year Resolutions had been fulfilled and I am so proud to tell this to everyone!

I put effort everyday and I could see all the changes it has brought in my life after one year.

For the year 2016, I will only keep moving forward.

My plans for 2016

1. Be more THANKFUL

- For this Christmas, I decided to just give to those people that mattered to me and thought about myself less. It's true when they say, "The more you give, the more you get". When you stop thinking that everything is about yourself, life becomes more meaningful.

2. Be more POSITIVE

- It's so easy to complain and murmur all the time, especially with work. I have been so blessed to have found a really awesome job at the beginning of this year. For next year, I plan to soar higher and do as much as I can to be able to contribute to this wonderful company.

3. TRAVEL more

- I'm not one of those "MUST TRAVEL!!" people, honestly. If I get to travel out once or even twice a year, I feel grateful already. I don't have huge travel wishes like the Eiffel Tower or Maldives (maybe when I get married? Hehe), in fact, I don't mind going anywhere as long as I am with my family members. This year I traveled to Hongkong/Shenzhen with my sister to visit my other sister who's living in Shenzhen. Boy, was that fun?! Next year I plan to travel with my yet ANOTHER sister to Korea for our birthday month (MAY!) and to Hawaii with my entire family for my one and only brother's graduation. I. CANNOT. WAIT. LAH

4. SAVE more

- This may sound horrible to most people but I only got my insurance this year. Yes, I know, terrible right? I have also opened up multiple accounts for saving moolah for different reasons. I'm no savings expert (I got this from my ex colleague actually!) but it's sooooo much better to have different savings account for different things like travel savings, life savings, shopping savings and many more. That way you can see where your money goes clearly each time. Also, it's good to save at least 50% of your savings every pay check. Definitely going to do this for next year.

5. Be INDEPENDENT

- This is the year where I'll probably be most tested for my dependency on people, especially my boyfriend. He'll be away for 2 full years and that is the biggest challenge for us yet. I want to learn how to be happy by myself and how I can be a good friend to myself. I want to learn how to cook, to work out by myself in the gym, how to travel alone and not just spend my off days at home because I can't deal with people by myself. I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET!

Don't be afraid to make resolutions because making them shows you want to make some positive changes in your life.

Have a great New year everyone! (:
Love, Trish <3
