On February 14, cupid starts shooting arrows everywhere making it the most romantic holiday of the year! Walk down the street and you’ll see roses, chocolate and declarations of love everywhere. So how about yourself, what are you planning for your Feb 14th? I like mine to be an intimate dinner with my significant other at the very comfort of our own home and making it romantic at the same time.

Aside from cooking something special, one other really important thing is to be done for the two to feel more romantic. Take effort into making the table setting more elaborate than usual, the unique and elegant decorations can really make a huge difference to the ambience. It doesn’t have to cost a great deal, simply pay attention to small details and using simple, affordable and expressive table decorations idea. Perhaps while one of you is tending to the cooking, the other will take this time out to set up the decorations that will surprise him/her and bring an unforgettable memory.

There are two types of setting on my mind; one of them is the simple and cute pink and white while the other is the elegant red and classy. You don’t have to go all out to make it a special date-night table, like travelling a hundred miles away just to get that exact rose or that special table cloth you want.

The Simple Pink

Like mentioned in the title, simple pink, so most of the items you buy should be pink in color together with white and maybe a little touch up of red. This set up is themed with light, neutral and soft colors to make the ambience comfortable and tranquil. I think one of the most important thing is the floral arrangement, if done properly the beautiful flower are a great centerpiece for the dinner table. It’s a little challenging to explain the whole set up so I will just show you a few potential pictures on how it’s going to look like.

Classic Elegant Red

Classic crimsons and reds, with an ice-filled steel bucket laying a bottle of champagne. The dynamic red certainly brings out the elegant and strong impressions. Different from the style of simple pink, this is more intense and passionate. Red roses in crystal vase, silver candle holder and decorative flower petals sprinkled around the table. This is going to create a wonderful intimate dinner for the two filling with passion and a tad of Intensity, sound so exciting!!

Showing you a few examples of what I’m talking about.

Taking an extra effort to change the dining room décor will help create a warm and festive ambience and fill the air with passionate love and romance. I hope everyone enjoys planning for their Valentine’s Day celebration and may the cupids fly around all of you!!
