Actualllly…… as cliché as it sounds, everyday is Valentine’s if you are with your partner – non quarreling days that is. Hahaha. Not that we quarrel a lot, but trust me, days without quarrels are the best gifts ever because it releases my stress and fatigue after a long day at work.
I don’t have a specific Valentine’s Day celebration that I want but hey… I don’t mind if my other half surprises me with a puppy. HAHA. Imagine tying a ribbon on the puppy’s neck and hide it inside a box for me? HOW SWEET! Sorry but mega dog lover here!!
I don’t believe in spending a lot for gifts on that day because we may end up buying stuffs that our partner don’t really need and I see that as a waste of money! I am sorry but I got to admit that I am not a very romantic person :X Afterall, we can’t survive on romance in Singapore, can we?
I read an article on Facebook about practical girlfriend and I think they are just describing me totally.
Let me share it with you:
“Practical girls are rational beings. They deal with things logically and that includes the way they handle their emotions and the way they show their love.
When romancing a practical girl, leave out the fireworks, leave out the grand romantic gestures – I mean yeah, she’ll appreciate your effort, but that’s all it’ll do. It’s not that practical girls don’t like romance, they just value things a little differently.”
1. Don’t bother buying her flowers or anything that adds no value to her life
2. Don’t bother taking her to fancy restaurants that cost a bomb
3. If you live on the opposite side of the country, she won’t expect you to send her all the way home
4. Don’t worry about ever having to carry her handbag
5. She won’t expect you to be at her beck and call
6. Don’t expect her to be at your beck and call either
7. Somedays you’ll question if she has any emotions at all
8. Don’t expect her to agree for the sake of agreeing
9. Be ready for her to spoil the ‘moment’
If you know me well, you will know these 9 points speak me!!!
I got him a simple pair of Giorgio Armani cufflinks Valentine’s last year but I’ll make it up this year. I spent a few weeks thinking of what to get for him I thought we will not be buying each other a gift this year but he ended up getting one for me. It is hard to shop for both of us because we have everything we need and we are both very practical.
In the end, I got him something that is useful for him.
As for my present wise.. He hinted me that it is something I approved and something I randomly said it was nice before.. Mmm… Read my blog for our Valentine’s Day when next week ok? HAHA.
