Cafehopping
The cafehopping trend has been going around for quite some time, but it never really did die down, right? I just love exploring new (and pretty) cafes, trying out their food and desserts. My favourite food to have would be truffle fries, cream based pasta as well as rainbow (cheese) cake!! Don’t know where to go? Kith Café at Parkmall, PODI at raffles city and P.S Café are pretty good! Here are a couple of cafes in my To-Explore list – Stranger’s Reunion, White Rabbit and Marmalade Pantry; or you can consult google for more ideas!
Staycation
Go for a short getaway with just the two of you. You can make use of the hotel facilities or head out and be tourists for a day. My favourites would be Pan Pacific, Hotel Jen (orchard gateway) and Studio M Hotel! Do remember to compare the prices on different websites and apps before making your booking.
Water fun
Did you know that there are at least three waterparks in Singapore? I have explored Adventure Cove in Sentosa, Wild Wild Wet at Downtown East as well as Jurong East Swimming Complex in the west! Prices range from $2+ to $20+, but it is definitely worth it considering the fact that you’ll be having hours of fun there. If your budget permits, Adventure Cove is a good option as they have quite a number of rides and even snorkeling!
Bake or cook at home
To be honest, I rarely do this.. But it was fun! I remember the first time when we tried making oreo truffles together and his brother’s feedback was that every piece tasted different. (opps I have no idea why haha!) Google for easy recipes for beginners (yes, oreo truffle is pretty easy and doesn’t require an oven by the way), shop for the ingredients together and work on it together!
Going on a Holiday
Compared to the above, going for a holiday requires more moolah.. Of course, there are cheaper options such as Malaysia, Bangkok and other Asian countries if you’re on a budget (like me). Travelling with your partner is a good way to know each other better as you’ll be together for more than 24 hours, facing the unknown and unpredictable situations. I need to save up more for a longer trip seriously!
