1: Do not bring too many clothes over unless the clothes are sponsored and you need to take OOTD with them. This is to make space for more new clothes!!
2. Usually I would just buy the stuffs I like when I am overseas, price is secondary. But if you want to save more, do not buy stuffs at first sight! I did that and I spent thrice the price in Platinum Mall (BKK) when it was only 300 baht in night markets :(
3. If you need to get souvenirs, know what to shop for. Don’t end up deciding when you are already at the shop because you may end up spending more than needed. Do your research to save you the time and effort.
4. Shop where the locals shop. James taught me this. When we were in BKK and GuangZhou, he did all the research and we ended up buying more and even cheaper stuffs than our travel mates!
4. Don’t be too shy to barter! Especially in countries like Bangkokg, Hong Kong and Guang Zhou. Even though you may risk getting scolded by the tenants for haggling, I would say, just try LOL.
5. And of course, if you need to stock up your cosmetics and alcohol, DO IT IN SINGAPORE DUTY FREE. You can’t find anything cheaper than those in the departure hall!
