[Blogger Claire] Finally, a Consultation at Halley Medical Aesthetics for My Legs

Few weeks ago, I went to Halley Medical Aesthetics for a consultation. Fillers? No. Botox? No. This time round I’m doing something for my body. My legs to be exact.

I better warn you first that this is relatively a long post. I get emotional when I talk about my body so I will type quite a lot here. :p

After my disgusting lipo procedure, I told myself that I’m not going to do anything to my body that is invasive again. I hate that I am still dealing with the swelling problems and scar tissues now even when I did this like a few years ago. -_-

I’m not sure if there’s anybody out there that has a perfect lipo done but I know for sure that for me I’m not so lucky.

My awesome surgeon did 7 areas on my thighs but I think he probably thought my front thighs are fatter, that’s why he removed more fats on the front and forgot about my back thighs.

And now my legs look weird because my back thigh are fatter than the front. My calves are fat (cos never do anything before) and the lumpiness and unevenness are obvious.

Of course I mind but I convinced myself that I’m still going to live my life like normal and dress up properly and take my ootd even though I have fat legs. Having fat legs doesn’t mean you don’t have a life what.. BUT of course this doesn’t mean that I’m not going to do something about them. If given a choice to help me to even out my fats on my thighs and reduce the ugly fats on my back thigh, do you think I will reject?

No. And trust me, nobody will say no.

So when I was told about the HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment from Halley Medical Aesthetics. I couldn’t say no. The best part of this whole thing is that it is non-invasive and there is no downtime at all.

I am very very excited about the treatment because not only my legs, BUT also if it works then this means good news for you guys too. So many of you have come to my blog because of my weight loss and lipo story, so I know what you are facing, some of you might even have the same problems as me. So if there’s something that can help all of us then of course I want to share with you!

By the way treatment and doctor have to go hand in hand. Even if the treatment benefits you but if the doctor is not well trained, experienced and unethical and don’t care about your well-being at all, then it defeats the whole purpose of the treatment too. So I’m really happy to meet Dr. Terence Tan from Halley Medical Aesthetics.

If you read some of our resident blogger’s experience at Halley Medical Aesthetics, you all should know he’s a very nice doctor. Even though this is my first time meeting Dr. Terence I wasn’t nervous at all because I know I’m in good hands.

So first thing first, let’s say hi to Dr. Terence Tan! This is my first time meeting him. He’s checking with me what are my concerns and problems. I told him I’m unhappy with a lot of things. For example, my freckle, pigmentation, enlarged pores on the face and more. But the thing that bothers me the most is my legs. So I told him more about my weight loss and lipo procedure and he explained to me how fats in our body works and why liposuction, if badly done, can cause fats to be unevenly distributed.

Dr. Terence Tan was amazed with how much weight I’ve lost but he also understood what I’m facing right now.

These are the suggested treatments for my face and body but eventually we decided on doing HIFU because my legs are the no.1 priority that we should look into and focus first.

I asked a lot of questions about the HIFU treatment. Apparently this procedure is not limited to the face but can also be used on the body; to burn fats and to tighten up loose skin!

After explaining to me what HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is and telling me how it works and what to expect, I changed into a kimono so the doctor can have a better look at my legs.

Here’s happy Claire with her kimono!

Dr. Tan proceeded to examine my legs after I’ve changed. My main problems are the loose skin on my inner thighs, fats on my back thighs, knees and calves.

A calliper was used to measure the fats on my calves.

After all is done, I changed and Dr Terence Tan advised about what we will be doing for the next appointment.

So for the next appointment, I will be doing HIFU on my inner thighs to tighten the skin, back thighs for fats reduction and if time allows, he will touch on my knees and calves too. Very happy with the arrangement and I shall come back in my next post to share with you what I did, how it feels and how does the treatment works and helps! :D:D
