Even before Hari Nef became the fashion world's darling, these models were owning catwalks and campaigns. 1. Andreja Pejić

Andreja has been making waves in the fashion industry since landing an international campaign for Gaultier before she transitioned. While Andreja used to model both men's and women's lines, she has since stated she will be modeling as a woman.
2. Ines Rau
In 2013, Ines was the first transgender model to be featured in Playboy.

Hari Nef is probably the most recognizable of the group since she has catapulted into the limelight. She was the first transgender woman to be signed to IMG models.
4. Arisce Wanzer
You might remember Arisce from her open letter to Kendall Jenner about bullying in the industry, but she's so much more than that. She's walked for Topshop and been featured in a campaign for Kenneth Cole.
5. Jenna Talackova
The Canadian beauty queen was once disqualified for competing in Miss Universe Canada, but she fought the decision and successfully managed to have it reversed after international outrage.
6. Geena Rocero

Geena is an activist for transgender rights and a beauty queen. Her TED Talk about her decision to transition has nearly three million views.
7. Juliana Huxtable
Juliana is not just a model: she's a DJ, artist, and social media maven. Her work has even been shown at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
8. Isis King
Isis entered the scene as a contestant on America's Next Top Model, but she's modeled for many brands. Isis was the first transgender American Apparel model.
