1) Decide on a colour palette
I tend to stick to black, grey and neutral shades as you can mix and match them easily even with your eyes closed.
2) Go Back to Basics
Go for pieces with clean minimalistic silhouettes. It’s hard to go wrong with the minimalist style as all you need are the bare essentials to look put together all the time. If you think it’s too plain or boring, read my post on why I adopted the minimalist style here: http://blog.myfatpocket.com/reginachow/2016/03/fashion-why-i-adopted-minimalist-style_1.html
I promise you you’ll never think going minimalist is boring again.
3) Layering
That’s the amazing thing about the minimalist style. You can easily change up your look by layering with a jacket, cardigan or vest.
4) Accessorize
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not asking you to go all out with the bling. Just throw on some simple accessories that are practical and make a statement, like a pair of reflective sunnies, a cap to shield your face from the sun and perhaps a pair of lace-up sandals. Packing light and looking on point while traveling has never been easier!
