I mean like, who does right! I was back at my usual aesthetics clinic, Halley Medical Aesthetics, and Dr Terence Tan told me about the new CoolMini by Zeltiq treatment. It freezes all the fat away in the underchin area.
Halley Medical Aesthetics has recently moved to their super nice and new outlet at Orchard Gateway and it's so easy for me to pop by now.
I am very happy with the CoolSculpting treatment I did before with Dr Terence Tan so I'm glad the makers of CoolSculpting now have the CoolMini applicator, which is US FDA-approved and it's now available at Halley!
If you didn't already know, CoolSculpting has been around for years and is a super popular non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses cryolipolysis technology to freeze fat cells to death.
I went for a consult with Dr Terence Tan where I could ask all the questions I had.
He advised that it's best for me to do this treatment twice. Once on the left underchin and once on the right underchin. 1 hour each side.
I've always been pro-CoolSculpting because the fat cells that get frozen will dissolve and be passed out from your body naturally. It's painless, has no downtime and it's effective.
He measured the amount of fat I had under my chin and while the middle part of my underchin was ok, the sides of my underchin were fatter than, well... his. Haha!
I wanted to know how many sessions are required to completely be rid of my double chin and Dr Terence Tan said that he'll assess the result after 12 weeks and is dependent on how much fat one has. The fat cells that are frozen off and destroyed in one session are gone. Forever!
And so, with all my questions answered by Dr Terence Tan, I am really confident that this is a safe and effective treatment for eliminating double chin fat.
I have made an appointment for the treatment and can't wait for it!
