Unless you have been living under a rock, you would know that Daiso; a concept store from Japan that sells everything at just S$2, is the bargain-hunter’s favorite place to go to for budget buys. And without fail for every year, as Halloween approaches, all the Daiso branches would be stocked up with just everything you need for the most awesome Halloween get up or party at a very low cost.
The Halloween decorations in the store give you a rough idea of how some of the décor on sale would look like when displayed. So if you are hosting a Halloween party or just looking to decorate your house for potential trick-or-treaters then look no further. This is perfect for lazy folks like me who do not have time to DIY your decorations and yet do not wish to spend a bomb on something you might not even re-use the following year.
Just a quick glance across the decoration aisle and you could find candleholders, candy buckets, party banners, hanging ghouls, party ware and so much more. Some had really adorable designs that screamed “Too cute!” while others captured the more sinister side of Halloween. Moving down to the next aisle, I found Halloween costumes for all ages. Here you can find fancy glasses, sexy knee-high stockings for the ladies and animal tails, all of which were suitable for both the young and old.
Each year, you can find a new range of Halloween products for sale. So if you happen to see something that you like, then I strongly suggest that you purchase it on the spot. Do not hesitate and wait for the following year because there is no guarantee that they might have the same items for sale again.
One of my favourite section in the store would be the Halloween-theme headgear section, where you can find witches’s hats, fancy hairbands that feature animal ears or horns and even fake hair in spooky green. These are great for clubbers who do not want to spend the effort to dress up in elaborate costumes but yet still participate in the fun.
Another superb budget find for Halloween partygoers would be is this makeup section. Here you can find all that you need to complete your scary look, from facial paint, crayon, fake blood, scary nails to even fancy false eyelashes.
Too lazy to make up? Then just pop on a freaky mask. Apart from these ghoulish masks, I also found capes for little children and even accessories such as witches’ brooms and plastic axes. So if you are looking for some inspiration on what to go as for Halloween, then Dasio is also a good place to start with. Furthermore, you could plan your outfit on a budget since everything is on sale for just S$2.
Here I am having fun with some of the Halloween props, I guess I have a rough idea of what I will be dressing up as should I go trick-or-treating this year.
