Think fishnets and you think strip clubs and Halloween costumes. It is one of those accessories that we always find it hard to pull off without associating it with cosplays (Yup, I last wore it when I dressed up as Harley Quinn last Halloween). But lo and behold, this versatile and interesting item made a comeback since late last year and we are seeing more and more celebrities and street style stars putting fishnets into their everyday style.
First seen on the runways during Fashion Week last autumn, fishnets were paired with designer dresses, slips, and even with sweatshirts or tees. It adds an instant style factor to the outfit regardless of whether you wear it as a main focal point, or let it play peek-a-boo by showing through the holes in your torn jeans or sneaking up your waist. And you know what, this trend is definitely good news for Singaporeans because fishnets are cooling AF.
