Shopping is the biggest agenda for every lady because who doesn't like shopping? And who doesn't fancy pretty clothing, accessories and shoes? I guess all ladies do! Having a bursting wardrobe can be considered a first world problem, LOL! Wardrobe space is always an issue for all ladies. We always think we have nothing to wear, which could lead us to buying things that we don't really need.
I have seen how my wardrobe has been growing and threatening to be overloaded and it gives me goosebumps everytime. Not to mention there are also piles of new unworn clothing, guilty much. Have you ever had that feeling before?
It's very hard for fashion lovers to resist shopping because they always tend to follow trends. And somehow collaboration/ sponsored items are not those that you really wanna have, then again you will still crave to shop for items that you want.
Recently I promised myself to buy lesser and I started clearing my wardrobe to make more space. I am starting to sell my stuff on online platforms, send unwanted preloved clothings for reselling and recycle some of them by sending them to stores that accept preloved clothes.
Trust me, clearing your wardrobe makes you feel better and easier to breathe. It allows you to find things that you wanna wear easily. Tidying up and clearing your wardrobe will lessen the desire to shop - this has been proven by myself. Because it will help you to realize that you have been shopping too much, thus, you now have so many stuff.
I've not been shopping for new things for almost a month and when I checked my credit card bill for this month, I paid the lowest amount ever since I first got my credit card.
Omg! What have I done so far - my credit card amount would usually be 4 - 5 times that amount monthly bcoz of.. shopping!
I am super tired with my growing wardrobe, so recently I started decluttering it.
There are many ways you can do so. Below are some examples:
1. Use what you have in your wardrobe toand mix & match. Trends go in cycles and will always come back.
2. Selling your preloved stuff on online platforms and recycling your clothing for a better purpose.
3. Donate your clothing. There are platforms and organizations who accept used clothes in good condition for donation to the needy.
4. Another way is by renting clothes. There are a lot of online platforms where you can rent pretty dresses from so you can still be fashionable without buying new clothes and filling up space in your wardrobe. And you only need to pay rental fee or subscription fee, which will be more worth it than spending money on buying branded clothes or the dress you will only want to wear once.
The more creative you are, the more you can save. By doing so, we can save more money to buy something that we really need, not something that we want.
Good luck!
