In pursuit of those bambi eyelashes that we seriously lack, eyelash extensions have very much become a part of our beauty routine.

Beautiful eyelashes open up the windows to our soul and many swear by lashes as an essential part of their makeup routine. Skip the extensions, falsies, and mascara and you might as well skip all the makeup. To ease our daily makeup routine and save time during the morning rush, many of us opt of eyelash extensions to achieve those long and beautifully curled lashes.

As much as we love the look and all the convenience that eyelash extensions bring, it is unwise to have them on for an extended period of time without any "rest" time for your natural eyelashes. Our natural eyelashes may be weakened by the glue and the weight of the extensions, so even if your natural eyelashes look fine and there is no discomfort, it is still recommended that you go extensions free for a while before glueing on the next set. Well, have a break every 2 to 3 months, at least.
What can we do to regain the health of our eyelashes after we removed our eyelash extensions?
1. Remove all eye makeup
We want our natural eyelashes to breathe so do remember to remove all eye makeup daily. If you are wearing waterproof mascara, remove them gently without tugging at your eyelashes.
2. Invest in a good eyelash serum
There are many good eyelash serums in the market that promise to help with eyelash growth. One of the most popular serums has got to be Latisse, which helps to thicken and darken eyelashes. Apply them regularly before your next set of extensions so that your eyelashes can get the nutrients that are needed and lashes health is not compromised.
3. Apply castor oil on your eyelashes at night
Castor oil is effective in growing eyelashes and it is recommended that you apply them before you sleep everyday.
