I started shopping online about 5 years ago. The most common things I shopped online are fashion clothing, skin care products, makeup products and even lingerie. I would say some of my shopping experiences weren’t that great. Sometimes you have to pray hard to get exactly what you wanted! However, being an experienced online shopper, I can always make the right choices most of the time.
There are pros and cons of online shopping. Some of us prefer to have a touch a feel of the products before making a purchase, while some shoppers love the feeling of opening a parcel, just like me.
So, what makes me shop online?

1. It is cheaper!
This is the most common reason why people do online shopping. Yes, buying things from the internet can be a lot cheaper! Recently I am addicted to shopping on Taobao, mainly because their prices are so much lower and you can basically get everything you want on Taobao.
2. Get the latest products
Did you notice that some companies offer products exclusively for their online platforms? I love to shop fashion items online because this is the fastest and easiest way to get the latest styles.
3. The feeling is just like receiving a present!
I can’t agree more on this because I get excited every time I receive my parcels! The delivery man is just like a Santa Claus that delivers my present to me.
4. Time saving
Shopping online can save you lots of time, from travelling down to the retail store, or spending a few hours searching for the desired products. Sometimes you don’t even know where to find that specific product from retail store! What I did was, ‘Google it’!

As an experienced Taobao buyer, I am pretty sure many people want to know how I choose the right product on Taobao.

1. Read the review before buying
This is the most important step to roughly understand the quality of product before buying. Sometimes the buyers will advise on the product’s quality, size and colour. If you’re still keen on buying the product after reading the reviews, then it should not go wrong. However, some reviews are fake, which were posted by the sellers. Do not purchase if those reviews look suspicious.
2. Ask the seller if you need more information!
Taobao sellers are 100% more efficient than most of the local online sellers. If you have any questions, just message them to get clarifications. They will reply you within a few minutes (sometimes I receive their replies even when it is past midnight!).
3. Don’t buy something that is too good to be true
I tried buying things that were extremely cheap. I thought I could just give it a try. However, it was really disappointing and I could do only throw it away. So, please do not attempt to do so (unless it is 11.11! :D).
