Those who followed the Code Blue series from 2008 to 2010 may remember the constant struggles that the young (good looking) doctors had to endure as part of “Doctor Heli” team. And of course, the three coloured helicopter which has become a hallmark of the popular show. After a 7 year hiatus, the popular show is finally back with its Season 3, and we can’t wait to finish watching the entire series.

Here’s what to look forward to in Season 3.
1. Original Casts but Different Team
We are glad that the original cast remains in the new series, which means drooling over Tomohisa Yamashita for us. Despite this, fans might be sad to learn that both Aizawa Kousaku (Tomohisa Yamashita) and Hiyama Mihoko (Erika Toda) had left Shohoku Hospital, and devote themselves to being a brain surgeon and obstetrician respectively. While Shiraishi Megumi (Yui Aragaki) and Fujikawa Kazuo (Yousuke Asari) chose to stay behind and offer their expertise as a flight doctor and orthopaedic surgeon individually. For Saejima Haruka (Manami Higa), she continues to be an ace flight nurse in new series.

2. Addition of New Casts
Joining the “Doctor Heli” team are new casts which include Arioka Daiki, Narita Ryo, Araki Yuko, Baba Fumika. Arioka Daiki plays Natori Souma, a great doctor who is not passionate about providing medical treatment. While Narita Ryo plays Haitani Shunpei, a kind-hearted man with inferior medical skills. The 2 new female casts Araki Yuko, and Baba Fumika portray a cheerful and honest doctor, and a strong nurse with high pride respectively.

Receiving the 4 new members are definitely Shiraishi, Fujikawa and Saejima. While once being in the same standpoint, having the young individuals in their team who are different from their selves at their time, we are curious to find out what kind of leadership do they have?
3. The Return of Shiina Kippei
Dr Tachibana Keisuke (Shiina Kippei) joins the drama again. However, instead of being an emergency doctor who leads the team in the previous 2 seasons, this time he is depicted as a father figure.

4. A Rival for Tomohisa Yamashita
Fans can expect scenes where the 2 brain surgeons Shinkai Hiroki (Ando Masanobu) and Aizawa (Tomohisa Yamashita) compete with one another to become a resident doctor of Toronto hospital. For the uninitiated, Toronto hospital is supposed to be the reputable hospital with a number of world leading medical cases and treatment in the show. With such handsome faces, we just can’t bear to see any of them being sad.
