Get ready to party this weekend for Singapore’s biggest carnival- has just arrived on our shores! Yes, we are referring to the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival! Spanning 25, 000 square metres, the carnival transforms both the Promontory and Bayfront Event Space into a gigantic wonderland for ardent lovers of thrill rides, carnival games, and delicious cuisines. Here, we rounded up 8 ways for you to have a rocking good time at the carnival!
1.Pump Up Your Adrenaline with the Rides
For the thrill seekers, you’re definitely in for a treat! The carnival comprises over 40 adrenaline-fueled rides, many of which have been brought in from countries such as the UK, Germany and Italy!
To get things pumping real fast, we suggest heading straight for the Booster Maxx Mach 5! This 55 metres tall thrill ride spins both clockwise and anticlockwise at a top speed of 96 km/ hour (under 8 seconds) and is sure to get your heartbeat fluctuating in no time.
Otherwise, you can try scaling new heights with the Star Flyer, a 35 metres tall tower ride that lifts you up into the air to take in an unparalleled 360 degree-view of the iconic Singapore’s skyline.
For the faint-hearted, there’s always the timeless classics like Jungle River to depend on. The log-themed boat navigates you through both the ground level and elevated winding troughs before bringing you to a refreshing drop down the chute into the splash pool below.
2. Go On a Plushie Collecting Quest
Here we are not referring to cheap plush toys, but licensed plush toys from Marvel and Pixar (think Minions)! There are over 1,200,000 up for grabs, so do go on a quest to collect all of them and train your muscles by tossing the most accurately, shooting the most numbers of pins, and hitting the hardest at the games booths. A word of caution: do not spend all your money on one booth, for there are over 30 booths to collect your “trophies” from.

3. Groove & Dance to the Music
Dance your night away and get swept off your feet with performances from home-grown musicians like pop punk artiste Falling Feathers, petite powerhouse Kexin Tay, hip-hop rapper TheLionCityBoy, and rising star Jasmine Sokko as they reel in the crowd with their blistering sets and repertoire. 4. Get Fascinated with Ventriloquism
If you're always fascinated with the ventriloquist's' ability to manipulate character voices and make the puppet talk, then you must not miss Joseph Then's show. Known as "The Funniest Ventriloquist in Town", Joseph's hilarious (but clean) sense of humour coupled with the puppet's antagonistic behaviour is sure to bring you loads of laughter throughout the show. 5. Hunt for the Most Instagrammy Food
With more than 20 curated vendors to choose from each week, your taste buds will not get bored and your IG feed will never be stale. The intrepid gourmand will be spoilt for choice with everything from Michelin-starred offerings to gourmet burgers and hotdogs to a delicious array of Japanese treats. For the local foodie, expect highlights including Chendol Soft Serve and Lemongrass Chicken Rice. Before we forget, the food prices start as low as $4.

6. Work off Some Calories
Besides exploring the many rides and games on the carnival ground, you can also sweat it out with other fitness enthusiasts at Fitness by the Bay! With certified and passionate trainers from Pure group guiding and leading the sessions, be sure to catch the yoga and fitness classes from 26th December, every Tuesday and Thursday from 7.00pm to 8.00pm at the Promontory!
7. Listen to Tales
Who says bedtime stories are only for children? Join in one of the storytelling sessions and get yourself delighted as you listen to tales of animal adventures.

8. Take Selfies and IG Stories
As the saying goes, if it’s not on the gram then it does not happen! So remember to pose and take some photos or IG stories with the adorable Christmas installations before heading home.
Admission to the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is free.
To enjoy the rides and games, you will need to purchase a stored value card. These can be purchased at the box office at the Carnival grounds or here.
There is a Carnival Pack available ($45) and consists of:
-Priority queue entry for admission for two
-1 Token Card (with $35 credit)
-1 set of Special Food Bundle coupons (worth $20)
There are also a limited number of “cut queue tags” available every day. This Express Queue option provides priority entry to the games and rides. Book your tokens here.
