How to Incorporate Pink into Your Outfit Without Looking Too Kawaii

Our mummies used to dress us in all shades of pink in an attempt to make us their little princesses for the first decade of our life. While most of the little girls embraced it and even picked pink schoolbags for our schooling years, many of us ditched the colour to avoid looking too juvenile and uncool once we reach our teens.

It is hard to imagine dressing ourselves in that barbie colour now that we are strutting into offices and sitting in meeting rooms to pitch for the next business idea. However, truth to be told, it is POSSIBLE to bring back that feminine shade into our wardrobe without looking like a Japanese lolita. It all depends on the apparels we choose and how we style our outfit.

Pick edgier styles like asymmetrical cuts, structured blazers, or cool hoodies over cute laces and frills, and instead of wearing a top to toe selection of pink tones, try using pops of pink in your sartorial choices instead. Include just one piece of pink apparel, or pick one or two pieces of pink accessories.

Let's take a look at how some of our local style influencers wear pink without looking overly kawaii.

Go all feminine in a sweet pink dress. But instead of pairing it with everything white, go for browns, greys, or even blue, like Christabel did.
