If you have walked pass Monnani Kwabaeggi while strolling the streets of Korea, don’t fret, as the first international branch will invade our land on 24th April. Yes, that’s TOMORROW!

For those who are not well-versed in Korean, kwabaeggi, (a.k.a ugly pretzel) is a sweet Korean snack that resembles that of a twisted donut. They are made using glutinous rice flour, then deep-fried and finished with cinnamon powder and sugar to give a mildly sweet taste and fluffy mouthfeel. Our team do think that it is the doppelganger of one of our local snacks- butterfly fritters.

The first Monnani Kwabbaegi outlet in Singapore will be found in the Central Business District in Hong Leong Building and patrons can look forward to flavours like Sweet Potato & Cream Cheese, Red Bean and Yuza (a.k.a. Yuzu).

The stores in Korea serve Hot Chilli Rice Hot Dog too and we do hope we can find them at Singapore’s branch too! Don’t you agree that the hot dogs look so mouth-watering?

The first 200 patrons who visit the store tomorrow will be entitled to a free pretzel. Do remember to mark it down!
