How-to: Shining Dream Twinkle Nails Manicure with Etude House and Miyake [Video]

Christmas is always a magical time. The joyous feeling the air serves as a precursor to the spirit of giving and sharing. Christmas is also a time of tinsels and shimmer so what better way for Miyake to complete her Christmas look then with the promised glitter of Etude House Shining Dream Twinkle Nails Manicure.

There are 2 nail polish kits in the Shining Dream Twinkle Nails set. The first is the Delight Holiday kit that comes in 3 red and gold-themed colours; the Delight Gold (4ml), Delight Deep Red (4ml) and the Delight Red & Green (4ml). The Holy Twinkle makes up the second kit in the collection and comes in Holy White (4ml), Holy Deep Blue (4ml) and Holy Silver Pearl (4ml).

The blessings of the yuletide season certainly came through yet again for Miyake as her nail dreams was about to come true in the hands of Etude House store manager Lisa. Miyake chose the Holy Twinkle kit (set #2) and after the base coat, 1 thin coat of Holy White was applied. For best application technique and result, it is recommended to begin by painting a vertical stripe down one side of the nail followed by more stripes, filling in the entire surface. It’s best to paint all the till the nail’s edges bearing in mind to leave a small margin rather than painting the over the skin on the side.

Once the first coat has set in or is semi-dry, follow up with a second coat as this ensures a rich and even looking colour. When the second coat has set and is dry, brush on 1 thin coat of Shining Dream Holly Twinkle Nails Holy Deep Blue. Creativity is encouraged in this step as Lisa demonstrated on Miyake’s nails rendering a truly unique identity!

The nails are then left to dry on their own or can be sped up using a fan. Miyake’s nails look amazing with the different French tips designs and diagonal lines but she’s not done yet! Lisa then gently dap a thin coat of the Shining Dream Twinkle Nails Holy Silver Pearl on the defined line. To achieve a gradient effect, she immaculately rearranged and spread the glitters out evenly.

The Shining Dream Twinkle Nails set also comes with a sheet of nail stickers but be sure that nails are semi-dry before applying them. After applying the stickers, Lisa proceeded with the last step which is the application of the topcoat.

Voila! Miyake’s glittery nails were done!

Miyake was truly impressed with the result. Lisa’s designs on Miyake’s nails using he Shining Dream Twinkle Nails in many ways do reflect the festive Christmas season. It reminded Miyake of snowflakes and the decorations found on a Christmas tree. To say she was happy with is arguably an understatement!

Etude House yet again delivered the princess dream with the Shining Dream Twinkle Nails. Do take note that Etude House do not provide manicure service and the work done by Lisa on Miyake’s nails were meant as a demonstration and inspiration even.
