As always, 2013 was a busy year for K-pop. It was packed full of all sorts of news, ranging from the worst of the worst to the best of the best. And, of course, it gave us more songs than ever, with both new and old faces pumping out tunes for everyone to listen to.

allkpop staff were asked to pick their favorite songs of the year, and here's the list!

Paul: Beenzino "Dali, Van, Picasso"

"Classy song that has a nice laid back vibe. I like to sit back, chill, and have this tune playing in the background."

KG: Troublemaker "Now"

"Why? She is so hot!"

James: Mikey "Loving You (R&B Ver.)"

"Mikey is not only one of the most talented producers in Kpop, but he's also a great R&B singer. The guy is a superstar. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Bora looks sexy."

Carol: Soyu, Mad Clown "Stupid in Love"

"I really enjoyed the collab between the two labelmates. The juxtaposition between Soyu's soft and husky voice with Mad Clown's distinct rapping style had me pressing replay over and over."

Elisa: Nine Muses "Dolls"

"Despite its less-than-cheery lyrics, 'Dolls' has an upbeat bounce that's addictive. The guitar line is faint but amazing, and the groove does something different. Try listening to the instrumental."

Neefa: 2NE1 "Missing You"

"It's a ballad but doesn't have a traditional ballad feel. I tend to be bored with ballads, but 'Missing You' still has a great pop-ish vibe to it despite being a ballad. I also appreciate that the song 99% Korean."

Seung: T-ara "Number 9"

"It seems like everyone has an opinion about T-ara, unfounded or otherwise. Ignore all that, though, and you're left with a group that has dependably and consistently put out some of the highest-quality K-Pop to date. 'Number 9' is yet another addition to T-ara's stellar line of title tracks, and it managed to defend its perennial spot on my favorites playlist with its addictive hook and powerful, no-apologies style. This song is T-ara at its best."

Priscilla: Team B "Climax"

"I am a fan of Team A (now known as WINNER) but Team B's 'Climax' is probably the only song this year which moved me. The song is just raw with emotion. Hopefully they make their debut soon!"

Annie: Ladies' Code "Bad Girl"

"This debut song was how I quickly became a Ladies' Code fan. I found it a super catchy song that I could have fun singing along to with relative ease and I thought the whole concept was pretty unique and mature, especially for a new group. I just loved the jazzy, slightly dramatic feel to it and the dance looked really fun, too."

Jenny: ZE:A "Ghost of the Wind"

"For me, it was a super close call between this and K.Will and Chakun's 'Even if I Play'. But in the end, ZE:A defined this year for me, and I had this song on repeat for months - even now. Plus, whoever designed those trenchcoats is a genius. They make the boys look so good!"
