For 30 years I have preferred looking at my shadow than my reflection in the mirror. The silhouette does a lot to my confidence. But the mirror, on most days, ironically shatters it.
If you don't like what you see in the mirror, change it.
I figured I would just do the walk from the talk I have been doing. Liposuction, I am going to do it.
In the field that I am in, it is not hard for me to find a doctor. But to find an experienced one who charges a reasonable price, that is like a diamond in the sand or a needle in a medical haystack even.
Making this decision for liposuction is not easy. I have been in a scavenger hunt for a very long time before I found a doctor I can put my faith and hope in.
Blood test will be done to ensure I am in the best health for this procedure. Dr Puah squeezing the fats from my back.
Dr Puah from Amaris B Clinic has the ability to make you feel that everything is going to be a ok. Besides his patience in answering my million questions and his in-depth knowledge of liposuction and the body’s anatomy, I know that I am in good hands.
One would associate gory blood spills and huge noisy vacuum machine with liposuction. Hello people, the last time I checked it was 2014. The advancement of science on body sculpting has elevated, just like your age.
In VaserLipo procedures, tiny incisions will be made on the areas to be treated. In my case, that would be my chin and back. A special saline solution that helps to numb my chin and back and shrink blood vessels will be infiltrated. Dr Puah will then insert a device that emits ultrasonic waves into the targeted area to precisely break down and liquefy my fat cells. Inserting a small suction cannula to gently remove the liquefied fat, stitches will be used to close the incisions and thick dressings will be applied followed by my chin strap and compression garment.
Before my consultation, my husband was standing at the entrance of Amaris B with me. And like any other half, he was naturally concerned and worried as he, most probably like 90% of you ladies out there, has a stigma towards cosmetic procedure. Then along came this lady with a chin strap who opened the door and crossed the road. She even told her friend whom I believe was a surgery caretaker (after each surgery, you are advised to get someone to take you home) to quickly cross the road. She was full of energy and was even smiling and laughing.
I took that as my sign that all will be ok for me since she just had a chin liposuction done by the same doctor. Sure I will bruise and will have inconvenience from the wound dressings but hey, in few days time, I will finally see a normal chin for the first time in my life.
As you are reading this today, I am probably either still in the surgery room or home resting with lesser the chin and love handles.
Happy Valentine’s day in advance, ladies. xxoo
