Fall-winter 2014 London Fashion Week brought us a makeup trend I'm pretty sure all of you can get behind. It's the no-makeup makeup look.
Here it is on a model at the Mary Katrantzou show:
And another version on a model at the Christopher Kane show:
Now, I don't really mean that the idea is not to look like you're wearing makeup at all. It's just to keep everything subtle enough so nothing stands out—you just look overall pulled-together and effortlessly chic.
For example, the models at the Mary Katrantzou show had the tiniest hint of silver on their lids, while the Christopher Kane girls got filled-in brows and swipes of highlighter—there's still makeup going on here.
It's just not so in-your-face that anyone would ever comment on it. In other words, it's the face you're probably wearing about 95 percent of the time. I mean, come on, how on-trend are you?
