MyFatPocket is proud to announce our collaboration with actress, model and host, Melissa Faith Yeo, our new Associate Beauty Content Producer.
It takes a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifice in the pursuit of one’s craft to attain success in our chosen field.
Competition amongst peers can be tough but without them, our strength, perseverance and mettle can never be tested and we will never know just how far we can go. Endurance with a healthy dose of patience and self-belief are the foundations of any success.
One individual who has been paying her dues with hard work and tireless dedication to her craft is Singapore’s very own Melissa Faith Yeo. You may remember from the Starhub, Fujifilm Z10 camera, Emirates Airlines and many more commercials that she has been featured in.
Chances are most of you will definitely recognise her as the bad cop Lucy Lim in the much acclaimed local English drama series Mata Mata (local lingo for police officers). Been acting since her return from NYC in 2010, the lights seem to only get brighter for this starlet.

Aptly named “Project Beauty”, this collaboration will feature Melissa’s personal advice on Lifestyle, Health and Beauty aimed to encourage women to lead a more beautiful life while looking good at the same time with her useful beauty tips. Melissa advocates a well-balanced healthy lifestyle.
She used to dance as a sport and she loves how it elevated and sustained her energy level. To paraphrase her words, it’s a fun way to keep fit and stay healthy. Melissa also encourages the occasional indulgence albeit on a moderate basis. As the famous adage or rather hashtag goes #YOLO.
Being healthy is not only about the physical. Melissa believes that keeping a positive mind and cultivating positive energy are as equally important to be truly beautiful and healthy. We all know it’s no easy task putting your best foot forward everyday and in everything that you do. In fact, it can be draining and we can get jaded in the pursuit of our goals. Passion and humor help Melissa overcome negative energies and break down walls.
Passion x Humour x Positive Energy
She reveals how passion keeps her going and gets her out of bed to face the day’s challenges head on. Humor is another important element in Melissa’s life. Laughter is the best medicine or so they say and Melissa believes in this adage. Humor can instill positive thoughts and happiness which translates and exudes an attractive positive energy. Afterall, the happiest girls are the prettiest ones!
Evidently, Melissa’s life journey thus far has equipped her with lessons and knowledge that will surely propel her to greater heights. Two things that struck us throughout the interview were her enthusiasm and humility. These traits are not something that you can buy off the shelves. They come with having experiencing both the high and lows of life.
It’s clear that despite the challenges that she must have faced and will continue to face, Melissa has the strength and determination to overcome them all. She is indeed girl. You can see it in her face and you can’t miss it in her smile.
