In a press conference on Thursday, organisers of the Audi Fashion Festival (AFF) announced that Hollywood starlet Kate Bosworth will be coming to Singapore to attend the four-day festival held from May 14 - 18, 2014.
Legendary designer to the stars, Oscar de la Renta will be closing Audi Fashion Festival this year. Making his first-ever appearance in Singapore, Oscar de la Renta will be presenting his Fall 2014 Ready-To-Wear collection on 18 May at the Tent @ Ngee Ann City.
Prabal Gurung. Born in Singapore, the Nepalese designer has been based in New York and is a favourite among celebrities and style stars.
Taiwanese actor-model, Godfrey Gao who was the first Asian to be a face of label, Louis Vuitton, will be modeling for Singapore designer Ashley Isham's first menswear collection.
Famed for her heterochromia - with one blue and one hazel eye - Kate Bosworth is known for her roles in 2002's Blue Crush as well as starring as Lois Lane in 2006's Superman Returns, among many others.
The stylish stunner is set to grace the red carpet on the festival's closing night on May 18, where Oscar de la Renta will be presenting his Fall 2014 Ready-To-Wear collection.
While last year's installation was staged at the Marina Promenade in 2013 to be closer to the F1 Pit Building - where the trade shows and fairs under Asia Fashion Exchange, Blueprint, were held - this year sees the AFF move back to the Tent @ Ngee Ann City.
Singapore-born and New York-based Nepalese designer of the moment, Prabal Gurung, is set to open the festival on May 14. Favoured by many celebrities who have donned his creations on the red carpet, Michelle Obama is also a big fan of the designer. Kate Middleton also famously donned one of his creations to her welcome ceremony in Singapore.
With Farah Khan being the Asian highlight of the festival this year, 12 Singapore designers will also be showcasing their collections on the festival catwalks including Hansel, Ong Shunmugam, Nic Wong, Exhibit and Ashley Isham.
Fans of Taiwanese actor-model Godfrey Gao will also be getting an eyeful. The supermodel who shot to international fame when he was chosen as the first Asian face for fashion house Louis Vuitton, will be strutting the catwalk this year for Ashley Isham's debut of his capsule menswear collection.
