PUMA released its first suede shoes in 1968 and till today, remains as one of the brand’s top selling line.
Recently, PUMA Singapore and Limited Edt Vault held a special week-long PUMA SOCIAL/SUEDE EXHIBITION 2013 with an insight into the PUMA Suede evolution from its birth 45 years ago till now.
Hosted at Limited Edt Vault’s newest skate store, ‘Le Way’ at Orchard 313 Level 4, it featured the latest Future Suede line as well as future interpretations of how the Suede would look 45 years later in 2058 by selected Singapore’s personalities and students from the LaSalle College of the Arts.
On display, as part of a shoe design project collaboration PUMA, were 15 chosen designs by students of LaSalle College of the Arts Diploma in Fashion| Faculty of Design:
Also, in welcoming in the new Future Suede and in a continuing effort celebrating 45 years of the PUMA Suede a special video timeline video featuring Singapore’s very own B-Boys crew was released:
It’s been 45 years since the birth of the PUMA Suede and it looks set to make old school cool in the future.
