8 Habits of Happy Couples

We do not take a relationship that is built from day one for granted. Even the most-loving couples are bound to have ups and downs but what keeps them going is compromising differences and learning to love all over again. It’s not easy and there is no secret that without trust, honesty and attraction, you’re waging an uphill battle.

A happy couple makes a conscious decision to be just that: happy. And they do simple, practical things to keep the spark bright. 

My definition of 8 Habits of Happy Couples is as simple as: 

1. Express Appreciation to your Partner Everyday 

Appreciate your partner, it is as effortless as that. No doubt, a powerful habit to keep! You will never go wrong with it. Counting blessings and give thanks to little things makes one a lot more happier. It all goes back to speaking your partner’s love language. 

Tip: The word “Thank you!” does wonders. 

2. Spend Time – Walking & Talking

JM and I always like to go for a long stroll in the park, do some sports together or even take a dip in the pool. Putting your gadgets down and taking a breather from work is always good to keep our minds calm and clear. You’ll be surprise that this is when you can really open up your heart and communicate effectively. 

3. Cooking Session 

The habit of cooking together creates intimacy, connection and love; making and eating food becomes an intimate act when you are with your partner. From searching for recipes to grocery shopping. It defines quality time <3 Great company over food is the best I could ask for. 

4. Look for the Best in Each Other 

 

When I first met JM, I fell in love with some of his wonderful qualities. Over time, however, some of which might change; vice versa. Now, it up to you to give each other the benefit of doubt and create a list of all the things you love about him again. It will help you fall in love all over again. Also, happy couples take the time to snuggle! This can be as simple as holding each other before starting your day or going to bed for a few minutes, but, do not underestimate it icon smile 8 Habits of Happy Couples 

5. Quality vs Quantity Time 

When you have common interests, you find joy. 

6. Hearty Breakfast

Because it is always ideal to start the day with my love ones over a heartwarming breakfast. However, at times when our schedule clashes, it may not be possible. So the best we can make do with is by having a quick McDonald’s Breakfast icon smile 8 Habits of Happy Couples 

7. Forehead Kisses

8. Positive Vibes 

Instead of getting all worked up which will ignite an argument when things goes wrong, keep calm and stay positive. It’s the best thing we can do for each other. Provide useful advise; encouragement is the key to staying happy as a couple!
