G-Dragon will be releasing his first solo Japanese album on August 14th.
"We haven′t decided on any specifics about the album, but the country has been showing interest in his first Japanese album," YG Entertainment explained when announcing his upcoming album.
While Japan has already seen Big Bang promoted in the country with original music, G-Dragon will only be the 2nd group member to release solo music in the country. Daesung, also known as D-Lite, was the first group member to go solo in Japan during February of 2013.
Before making his move into the Japanese market, G-Dragon will be releasing a new album in Korea. The first single from the album, "Michi GO", has already gone on limited release. The rapper will also be touring the world as part of his tour "G-Dragon 2013 World Tour: One of a Kind" which kicked off this week in Seoul.
