Minnesota-based blogger Amanda Rettke who writes the blog I Am Baker, has recently published a book titled Surprise-Inside Cakes, where she reveals her secrets to creating cakes with perfectly baked ‘insides’.
Cleverly using cookie cutters and food coloring, Rettke has made a name for herself for baking secret shapes and patterns within a cake. She uses one of two principal techniques: deconstruction, and the twice-baked method.
In her book, she reveals step-by-step instructions for creating her special cakes.
Rettke currently has over 11,000 people who subscribe to her blog, and her cakes have been featured on popular publications.
