For Kate Middleton, the constant comparisons to her fiancé's late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, must be a mixed blessing, what with the enormous pressure that goes along with living up to such a legend.
But it seems she is taking it all in her stride, maybe even actively encouraging it, for aside from wearing Diana's engagement ring, Middleton has now taken to carrying the iconic Tod's handbag which was named in Diana's honour.

The classic leather tote was such a favourite of Diana's, that after her death in 1997 the Italian accessories label renamed it the 'D-Bag'.
The original design has been reworked and updated through the years to appeal to modern women, but it still bears the hallmarks of the original design.
Middleton has made a fashionable choice on this occasion as the D-Bag can also been seen swinging on the arm of some of Hollywood's hottest trendsetters including Diane Kruger, Kate Bosworth, Leighton Meester, Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman.
The grey leather version would have set the royal bride-to-be back £915.
Speaking in an interview last year, Diego Della Valle, the son of the company's founder revealed that the company chose to name the bag after Diana because "She was an incredible supporter of our product."
Besides regularly carrying their handbags, Diana also popularised Tod's iconic 'Gommino' loafers - the leather and suede slip-on shoes with rubber studded soles.
