Here’s another piece of good news for J-Pop fans! Popular Japanese model-singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has included Singapore as a stop on her very first “100%KPP World Tour 2013” and local fans can look forward to meeting the “fashion monster” at *SCAPE Warehouse on May 10.

The 20-year-old started out as a fashion blogger before posing for various Harajuku fashion magazines such as Zipper during her high school days. Kyary (think “Carrie”), who got her nickname from her classmates due to her love for western culture, soon found herself on the covers of many magazines as her quirky style became a nationwide hit.

Previously launching a line of fake eyelashes called "Harajuku Doll Eyelashes by Eyemazing x Kyary" in her own capacity, the young fashionista was also appointed as a “Kawaii Harajuku Ambassador” last year, to promote the Japanese kawaii (cute) culture to the rest of the world.

Debuting as a singer in July 2011, Kyary released her first single ‘PonPonPon’ which proved to be a viral hit – the song made it into the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart and topped online music charts in Belgium and Finland, and its music video has registered 46 million views on YouTube to date.

In 2012, her first physical single “Tsukematsukeru” took seventh spot on the Oricon chart and was awarded with the Special Prize at the Japanese Record Award ceremony. The talented pretty-face is also the host of a Japanese TV program Catherine the Third and commands her own radio show “Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's Way Way Radio”.

Recently performed in European countries such as France and United Kingdom, Kyary will continue her world tour in the United States and other Asian cities including Taiwan and Hong Kong this year.
