How are lip stains and lipsticks different?
Lipsticks are mainly made of waxes and oils, that is why they glide like satin on your lips while adding a layer of colour pigmentation. Lipsticks come in many delicious colours and textures. Depending on the ingredients of the emollients in the lipstick, can keep your lips either moist or choppy.
On the other lip, most lip stains are water based while some are gel based. Natural dyes such as henna or synthetic dyes are added to stain for up to 18 hours.
What do we love about lip stains?
It is long lasting and does not smudge. Most importantly, it gives the lip a healthy and radiant look - not too made up and not too stiff-looking!
But just like lipsticks and its variety of brands and forms, lip stains come in many different applicators, brands and colour intensity. What's more, lip stains can be applied on both lips and cheeks!
Today we are testing lip stains from The Body Shop and Stilla.
