I have wonderful parents and I'm really thankful for that.
They have worked so hard for their whole life just to give my sister and I the best they could and nothing can replace the unconditional love that they have given to us.
I've got a handsome Dad and a beautiful Mum. This photo was taken on their engagement day so many years ago.
Their hands have became rough and their hair has turned sliver now, while dedicating their life to us. I can never do enough for them for their dedication to raising and nurturing us.
And now that we are all grown up, it is our turn to take care of them and give them the best we could.
Like what my Mum always tells me, women, regardless of 7 or 70, would still want to look beautiful.
So this Mother's Day, I've decided to bring my Mum to regain her youth. She was quite excited about the whole idea and agreed to it almost immediately.
I've seen so many MFP bloggers looking beautiful after their treatment at Prive Clinic. I witness Claire's transformation when I went there to support her during her fillers session.
Hence, I decided to bring my Mum to Prive Clinic for her treatment. A consultation with Dr Karen Soh was done on that day and she suggested doing both Botulinum Toxin A and Fillers for my mum.
Botulinum Toxin A was used to reduce her bunny lines and crowfeet, and fillers to fill in her wrinkles and laugh lines and plump up the volume on her cheeks.
Numbing cream was applied to Mum's face before the treatment.
Dr Soh starts the treatment with fillers and the brand she gave my Mum is called Radiesse. Radiesse creates immediate 3D volume for a youthful lift and stimulate new collagen formation for long lasting results.
After the fillers is done, Dr Soh proceed to do the Botulinum Toxin A on my Mum. The brand of Botulinum Toxin A used is Dysport.
It is an alternative to Botox and it is FDA-approved and HSA-approved in Singapore. Dysport diffuses more readily and so is more suitable for larger areas and can be noticed half a day earlier than botox.
I was really worried when I saw all the needles poking on my Mum's face. I'm a very protective daughter and it is going to pain me so much if my Mum feels any pain.
I was so worried watching the treatment but my Mum was so cool about it.
Mum kept telling me that she did not feel anything and her face felt very numb after the numbing cream.
Phew...
My Mum was very happy to see how her laugh lines diminish and her crowfeet reduce.
My playful Dad waited for us to come home with a magnifying glass in hand and he started irritating my Mum lovingly by examining her face with the magnifying glass (How awesome it is to still be so loving at this age...).
