Tokidoki has created a capsule collection alongside Karl Lagerfeld, featuring three cartoon figurines of the designer and apparel printed with the playful caricatures.
Adding another string to his already bulging design bow, Karl Lagerfeld has launched a new capsule collection titled tokidoki x KARL LAGERFELD.
The range, which features three look-a-like character dolls and ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, continues the designer's earlier foray into tokidoki territory, when Lagerfeld created an image of himself crafted in the Japanese cartoon style.
A tokidoki interpretation of Karl's notorious cat, Choupette, joins the original caricature dolls Mr. Jeans and Mr. Black, in the new limited-edition collection. The playful caricatures will also be printed on items including T-shirts, skirts, canvas shoppers, iPhone covers and a surprising wardrobe item for Karl - jeggings.
Commenting on the work of Simone Legno (above), the creative brain behind tokidoki, Lagerfeld says: "I am very flattered that I have become a 'tokidoki'. I always loved them and I am very happy to be one of them."
The collection is available at the Karl Lagerfeld concept stores in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris, and on Net-A-Porter.
