7 Beauty Tips to Survive That Long Haul Flight

The thought of going on a long haul flight can be quite a turn-off. Squeezing in a plane with hundreds of other strangers with minimal leg space is already uncomfortable enough, yet we still need to deal with how tired and listless we look after the flight. These are the times we are grateful for not being a celebrity with all the paparazzi's' cameras clicking away, because photo taking is really the last thing on our mind when we are looking so dull and dehydrated.

But then again, have you noticed how many celebrities, in fact, looked radiant and gorgeous even after a plane ride? Before you start screaming how unfair it is, let's find out what are some of the things we can do to keep ourselves in tip-top conditions and look just as good as the A-listers do.

1. Moisturize before your flight

We all know how drying air in the cabin is. Remember to moisturize your whole body before boarding the plane because it can be pretty inconvenient if you are going to attempt doing that during the flight.

2. Drink lots of water

Hydrate yourself inside out by drinking lots of water before and during the flight. Because the air in the plane is so dry, the small cups the aircrew bring around are not enough. Ask for more water or juices if you can. Alternatively, bring an empty bottle along with you in your hand-carry luggage, and ask the aircrew to top up the bottle for you when you are seated, so that you don't feel bad asking the crew for drinks every now and then.

3. Use your sheet mask

No better time to pamper your skin with a sheet mask than on a long haul flight. You are surrounded by dry air and you are stuck on your seat anyway. Continue with your in-flight entertainment while you are masking, and there is no time wasted. You will reach your destination with radiant, dewy skin.

4. Use a facial massager

Since you can't do anything very much, bring along a facial massager to massage your face after your masking session for the nutrients to be better absorbed. If you don't have one, you can always use your bare hands!

5. Apply some light makeup

Just before landing, apply some light makeup to freshen up (you don't know, there may be paparazzi haha). Use some tinted moisturizer or a light BB cream, fill in your brows and add some colour to your lips. Fresh as a flower.

6. Set with a hydrating spray

Set your makeup and hydrate your face further with a hydrating spray. You can use the water mist if you prefer those, or look for sprays with added hydrating oils or moisturizing properties.

7. Add a dose of fragrance

Last but not least, how about spraying or applying some fragrance? Don't just look good, but smell good too. Now you can give a big hug to your boyfriend who is awaiting your arrival at the arrival hall!
