The end of the year is always a time for reflections and what-nots. With all the shopping done for the year, it is also time for you to clean out your closet, and make some space for your new haul in 2017!

It can be really hard to give up on those pretty pieces that used to make our hearts flutter when we bought them. But think of it this way: if it no longer serves you, let it go. You need to let go of the old, to welcome the new. Perfect excuse reason to start shopping again in the new year ahead.
If you are one who always ends up keeping everything, here are some tips for you to help you decide what to keep and what to donate and trash.
1. Have I worn this in the past year?
If your answer is no, it is time to part ways. Even if the tags are still intact and you haven't even worn them before.
2. Does it still fit me?

Still trying to squeeze into that dress that is one size too small? Or trying to pretend that that shirt that is too big will look fine on you? If you have no plans to alter them, bid them farewell instead of letting them sit there and take up the precious wardrobe space.
3. Is it damaged?
Spoilt zipper? Stained? Torn? Keep it if you can save it. If not, then dump them.
4. Is this my current style?

Grown out of your emo goth phase but still have all those metal and lace outfits in your wardrobe? Well keep one if there's nostalgic value for you, but I suggest you give away the rest of them to clear out your closet.
