What's the meaning of live life to the fullest if you just follow your daily routine?
Do you just follow the clock - wake up in the morning, rush to work or school and start your 9am to 6pm activity and end up reaching home feeling tired, boring and unhappy?
Living life to the fullest in my opinion is daring to go "out of the box", to go out of your comfort zone and do what you really want and what you really love. And you have to be happy with your life.
Well if you think that living life to the fullest means you have to travel around the world, nothing wrong with that! Go ahead! But will traveling around the world offer you pure happiness if in the end you have to come back to your daily routine? Traveling is just a short period of happiness, not eternal happiness.
I found at least 7/8 of the working people population are simply unhappy with what they are doing, why? Because they just follow their daily routines. They don't do something extra, they're unwilling to do more things and learn something new, they're just simply doing the same things over and over again which leads them to a static life. I can say most working people are working for money but not for their own psychological satisfaction.
I won't say money is not important, NO! Put it this way, I would say that it would be good that you can earn money from what you love to do. Therefore you can gain both physical and psychological satisfaction. And you don't feel that work or study are a burden because you really love them so much. If you feel unhappy with your work or study, then you'd better quit and look for things you love and have passion for.
Well thank God I am not part of that 7/8 population. I am happy to share that I've already started to live my life to the fullest and on the journey towards pursuing my own happiness.
What is the secret to pursuing your own happiness which leads you to living life to the fullest?
1. You have to be grateful for what you have.
2. Don't compare yourself with other people, everyone leads their own lives.
3. You have to be happy with and enjoy what you are doing.
4. You have to believe that you're able to do more.
5. You have to constantly motivate yourself to learn more things. Life is a journey of constant learning anyway.
6. You shouldn't take things too seriously and worry less. Take everything easy and don't stress yourself out.
Happiness is not about external stuff, it's not about your possessions. True happiness shall only be felt with your own heart. I shall end my short writing with my favourite quote from Paulo Coelho:
"Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it."
