Thanks to the genius duo, Alcine Chan (final year student from National University of Singapore) and Associate Professor Liu Shao Quan, we now have a beer that contains a probiotic strain (lactobacillus paracasei L26) which is able to neutralise toxins and viruses as well as enhance our gut health and immunity.

The beer has an alcohol content of 3.5% and contains one billion units of probiotics in every 100 ml, an amount that meets the international recommendations. Don't you agree that this beer is indeed a godsend for those who suffer from lactose intolerance and couldn’t take any dairy based probiotics products?

While the brew has yet to hit the shelves, this invention gives us all hope that one day we’ll be able to get the health benefits from our happy hour beer.
