[New York Fashion Week F/W 2014] Alexander McQueen Taps Kate Moss for Spring

Alexander McQueen’s spring campaign features Kate Moss for the first time and in a new incarnation — with electric-bright, sulphur-colored hair. Inspired by the 1960 cult thriller “Peeping Tom” and shot by Steven Klein, the ads and accompanying film have a dark, creepy, almost extraterrestrial feel.

A selection of images and the film, all shot on location in East London, will be released this afternoon on the brand’s website and related social media outlets.

Alexander McQueen worked with Klein for the first time in more than a decade; the last time Klein shot a campaign for the brand was in 2002. His images of Moss are jarring: Her torso is encased in tight leather harness or corset tops, and she carries a voodoo-like doll that is a miniature of herself.
