We humans are indeed hard to please sometimes. Be it rain or shine, we still can’t stop complaining about the weather.  In fact we might even use it for playing truant (exercise though). Follow these tips, and don’t let the weather deter you from being fit again.

Check the Forecast

If you’re planning to exercise outdoor, it might be a good idea to check the forecast first. If heavy downpour is predicted on a certain day, you can then postpone your exercise to another day when it’s cloudy.

Pick Indoor Activities

Indoor activities are as fun as outdoor activities too. If you find the weather irksome, why not pick activities that can be done at the comfort of your room or office? Alternatively, you can source for indoor pools, tennis courts or running tracks and exercise without giving the weather a hook.

Incorporate Some Lifestyle Activities

Integrate exercises into your daily lives, and develop it into a habit. This helps to minimise the chances of skipping exercise, as “old habits die hard”. Some great way to integrate exercises in your routine are:

-       Taking the stairs rather than escalator at the MRT station

-       Alighting 1 bus stop away from your destination and walk home

-       Walking to the nearest food court, rather than taking transportation

-       Go on an evening walk with your dogs
